Communication with the School Office

The office is manned from Monday to Friday, 8.15am – 4.00pm by Mrs McKay (8.00am – 12.00pm on a Thursday) and Tuesday to Friday, 8.30 – 5.00pm by Mrs Caetano. As Mrs McKay is not in school on a Thursday afternoon, please try and avoid general queries during this time.

We have a dedicated parent e-mail address, parents@hartsbourne.herts.sch.uk, and phone number, 0208 950 8140, which should be used for enquiries about the following:

  • Absence and sickness
  • Dinner money and lunches
  • Music
  • Clubs and waiting lists for clubs
  • Dates and events
  • Appointments with Class Teachers, Headteacher or Senco

We will aim to respond to emails within 48 hours. However, something genuinely urgent should be communicated via a telephone call.

Sickness Absence

Please inform the school by 9.30am on each day of your child’s absence.
